Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Centro LatinoAmericano! We depend on the commitment and energy of many community volunteers to help us carrying out our programs for immigrant Latino workers and their families.

To become a Centro LatinoAmericano volunteer, download the Volunteer Application Packet (see attachment).

This packet includes an introduction letter, a more comprehensive description of our volunteer opportunities, and a volunteer application. Please read through all the materials and fill out the application. If you would like to arrange a group service project, please to be sure to contact us at least one month in advance.

Centro LatinoAmericano Volunteer Opportunities

English as a Second Language Teacher Participate in our popular education model by teaching English to adults during our morning ESL classes or in the evenings. Both beginners and intermediate levels are needed. Volunteers can also provide individual tutoring to adults who need to improve their English language proficiency.

Employment Opportunities Assistant
Help write resumes and fill-out job applications for immigrants with limited command of English (basic understanding of conversational Spanish is required).

Food for Lane County Volunteer Assistant
Help our caseworkers pick-up food from Food for Lane County and arrange food boxes for families in need who cannot access any other source of assistance. This is a two hour commitment on Tuesday morning. It requires your own transportation.

Office Aid
Help us with filling and shredding of documents, making copies, sending letters, and many other very necessary tasks that our busy staff not always find time to accomplish.
