Traditional Mexican Art of Paper Flower Making

Eva Castellanoz has won the National Heritage Foundation Award for her work in Mexican traditional arts. She has been featured on NPR and OPB programs, and has presented Mexican traditional arts at teh Smithsonian Folklife Festival and numerous cultural festivals around the Pacific Northwest. In February of 2010, Eva won an award from the Oregon Commission on Hispanic Affairs hornor her work as as folk artist and as a curandera (traditional healer). For over thiry years, she has woked with young people, including many gang members, in her community of Nyssa, Oregon. She teaches art as a tool for personal and social transformation.

Taught in Spanish and English for children and adults.
