Human Services

Services for children and families: Our caseworkers provide comprehensive, wraparound human and social services for Latino families and children. The caseworkers intervene in crisis situations with direct assistance, referrals, and advocacy. Our agency distributes food boxes, clothing, and bus passes; provides access to transitional housing; and coordinates summer camp activities and recreational activities for children and families. We offer assistance to women and children in distress. Our agency is a Safe Place for runaway teenagers.

Employment advocacy: Our caseworkers and volunteers assist clients with job searches. They help clients prepare resumes and fill out job applications. We also offer direct assistance to workers searching for day labor opportunities.

We assist our clients thanks to the generous support of volunteers, and through grants and partnerships with Food for Lane County, faith-based organizations, individual donors, Lane Transit District (LTD), St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County, United Way of Lane County, Lane County Department of Health and Human Services, Womenspace, LaneCare, LIPA/Trillium Community Health Plan, Chambers Family Foundation, among many others.

Translation, notarization, and interpreting services: Our caseworkers have the ability to translate (Spanish to English and vice versa), notarize documents, and provide interpretation over the phone for clients with limited English proficiency.

Our agency also has a large pool of interpreters and translators on-call. Our staff of native Spanish speakers can serve your needs on an hourly basis and can translate texts on a quick turnaround. We charge an hourly fee for interpreting. Translation work is priced per word. Please call our agency for more information about this service.
